A feature story for Americas Quarterly that highlights trade, climate, and infrastructure data from different Latin American countries. I created several unique icons to accompany these statistics.
At the top of each page, the country's flag is displayed within the camera lens. To signify successful trade agreements, I depicted a handshake surrounded by a ring of light. To symbolize exports, arrows are shown sprouting outwards from the earth's globe.
For infrastructure, I created: a crane and several crates on a loading dock to symbolize the number of port terminals; an airplane to symbolize the number of airports; a train to symbolize the railway network.
A plant sprouting from the ground to symbolize agriculture.
Several lightning bolts to symbolize electricity.
A group of pine trees to symbolize a forrest.
A truck to symbolize shipping.
A car to symbolize transport.
On the final spread, an overview of each country's stats are shown in a table.
